For 100 years ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø has provided a life-changing impact through a second-to-none education conferred by highly accomplished faculty who take the time to care about each student.
In the coming semesters, it’s time for the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Family to celebrate a century of impact and work together to envision a future just as incredible.
The Campaign for ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø is a $100 million initiative, the largest in the University’s history, to ensure a strong future that changes the lives of generations to come, builds a strong economy for our region and state and provides cultural and athletic experiences that add the depth of life.
Support ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø·¬ÇÑÉçÇø will celebrate its centennial from September 2024 to December 2025. Encompassing the marking of our 100th entering class of students in the fall of 2024 as well as our 100th graduating class in the spring of 2025, culminating with the celebration of ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø’s 100th birthday in the fall of 2025, there will be something for everyone to take part in this historic moment.

Anyone who attends an event will be invited to sign it — at each event they attend. This book will be placed in the historical archives as a permanent record of our time together in commemoration, celebration and support.

After nearly a year of lobbying, planning, and recruiting by Linus A. Sims and fellow supporters, the institution that would eventually become ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø first opened its doors on September 14. Named Hammond Junior College, it was housed in two rooms in the then Hammond High School, with Sims as the first president.
